MC ENTRY CRITERIA

To ensure every MC is judged fairly, all entries must meet the following submission requirements.

• Minimum of 3 months' MC experience.
• One (1) entry per person, per category.
• Maximum of three (3) genre entries where applicable.
• You must clearly state the genre you are entering on your application. For example: Drum & Bass, Hip Hop, Grime, UK Garage, Bassline, House, Jungle, Hardcore, or any other recognised genre. Entries will only be judged within the genre selected on your application. If your chosen genre is not clearly stated, your application may be delayed, returned for clarification, or rejected.
• All submitted material must be your own original work.

• One continuous 3–5 minute MC performance.
• Submitted in MP4 format.
• The performer must be clearly visible throughout the performance.
• The performance must include the words "Individually Twisted" and "MRA".
• The submitted performance must be genuine and must not contain misleading edits.

• A matching WAV audio file of the same performance must be provided.
• The WAV file must correspond exactly with the submitted video.
• Vocals must be clear and easily understood.

You must upload a high-quality photograph that you would like the Music Recognition Awards to use if your application is shortlisted, nominated, or selected for promotional material.

The photograph should clearly show you and be suitable for publication across our website, social media, marketing materials, and event graphics.

By submitting a photograph, you confirm that you own the image or have permission to use it for these purposes.

Our adjudicators will assess each entry based on:

• Flow and timing
• Vocal clarity
• Lyrics and originality
• Stage presence
• Crowd engagement
• Creativity
• Overall performance

Entries that do not meet these requirements, contain false or misleading information, infringe copyright, or breach the Music Recognition Awards Terms & Conditions may be rejected or disqualified.
